The Miami Heat and Indiana Pacers meet Wednesday afternoon at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
The Miami Heat have lost five of their last seven games and are desperate to start turning things around. On the season, the Heat are averaging 94.7 points on 46.3 percent shooting and are allowing 97.9 points on 47.3 percent shooting. Dwyane Wade is averaging 23.3 points and 5.5 assists while Chris Bosh is averaging 21.5 points and 8.2 rebounds. Luol Deng is grabbing 4.9 rebounds and Mario Chalmers is dishing out 4.3 assists. The Miami Heat just aren’t getting it done offensively, as they’re shooting just 33.3 percent from beyond the arc in their last five games and have scored less than 100 points in 16 of their last 23 games. The good news for the Heat is that Bosh is back in the lineup, giving the offense a much needed boost moving forward.

The Indiana Pacers have split their last eight games and are trying to climb back into the playoff race. On the season, the Pacers are averaging 94.5 points on 43.1 percent shooting and are allowing 96.3 points on 44.3 percent shooting. George Hill is averaging 12.8 points and 4.3 rebounds while David West is averaging 12.5 points and 6.8 rebounds. Roy Hibbert is grabbing 6.6 rebounds and Rodney Stuckey is shooting 41.4 percent from the field. The Indiana Pacers have really turned the corner offensively, as they’re shooting 49 percent from the field and 40 percent from three in their last five games. However, it’s a matter of consistency with the Pacers, as they’ve been one of the worst offensive teams in the league for quite some time.
The Heat are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games following a S.U. loss and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 vs. NBA Central. The Pacers are 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS win and 6-1-1 ATS in their last 8 games overall. The Heat are 2-5 ATS in the last 7 meetings in Indiana and the favorite is 5-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings.
It's only a matter of time before the Heat get rolling, especially with Bosh now back in the lineup. I'm just not a big beleiver in the Pacers no matter how well they're shooting the ball right now. The Heat should win this game outright but give me the points just to be safe.
