The Cleveland Cavaliers have lost four of their last six games and are hoping to stay afloat without LeBron James. On the season, the Cavs are averaging 101.2 points on 45.5 percent shooting and are allowing 99.2 points on 46.6 percent shooting. Kevin Love is averaging 17.1 points and 9.9 rebounds while Kyrie Irving is averaging 20.9 points and 5.3 assists. Dion Waiters is shooting 40.9 percent from the field and Tristan Thompson is grabbing eight rebounds. The Cleveland Cavaliers continue to get beat up defensively, as teams are shooting 39.6 percent from downtown in their last five games. That’s not good when going up against the Dallas Mavericks. The good news for the Cavs is that 11 of their 19 wins this season have come at home. Still, without LeBron, everybody will have to step it up.
The Mavericks are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 vs. Eastern Conference and 60-26 ATS in their last 86 road games. The Cavaliers are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 home games and 4-9 ATS in their last 13 vs. NBA Southwest. The Mavericks are 4-0 ATS in the last 4 meetings.
While we've been pounding the Mavericks lately, this is too many points to lay in this spot. The Cavaliers are still a talented team even without LeBron and do have the home crowd on their side. The vaue here is with the Cavs and the points.
