The Detroit Pistons look to stay hot tonight when they visit the Dallas Mavericks at the American Airlines Center.
The Detroit Pistons have won all six games since waiving Josh Smith and they only seem to be getting better as they come into this game off a dramatic 105-104 win over the Spurs. Andre Drummond led the way with 20 points and 17 rebounds while DJ Augustin added 19 points off the bench, but with the game on the line, it was actually Brandon Jennings who hit the game-winning layup at the buzzer to win the game for the Pistons. It's quite fascinating to see this team playing with so much belief now because they were actually down by 17 points against the Spurs after the first quarter, but they continue to show plenty of fight and it paid off big time last night. With the win, Detroit improves to 11-23 on the season and 7-10 on the road.

Meanwhile, the Dallas Mavericks have now won six straight after taking down the Nets by 96-88 in overtime on Monday. Monta Ellis led the scoring with 19 points, Rajon Rondo had 10 rebounds and 14 assists and Dirk Nowitzki added 15 points as the Mavs bounced back from a lackadaisical 35-21 first quarter to beat the Nets in overtime. It definitely wasn't the most clinical performances we've seen from the Mavs, but they still found a way to get the win and Nowitzki put the cherry on top by passing Moses Malone for seventh on the NBA's all-time scoring list. Dallas is now 26-10 on the season and 13-5 on the road.
In ATS trends, the Pistons are 5-0 ATS in their last five games overall and 5-2 ATS in their last seven road games, while the Mavs are also a perfect 5-0 ATS in their last five games but just 3-8 ATS in their last 11 home games.
Head to head, the Pistons are 1-5 ATS in the last six meetings overall and the Over is 4-0 in the last four.
I was really hestitant to take the Mavs against the red-hot Pistons, but the last time they've been red-hot themselves and were able to beat the Wizards by 27 points the last time they played at home.
