The Washington Wizards play host to the Chicago Bulls tonight at the Verizon Center.
The Chicago Bulls were rolling through the league and piling up the wins before hitting a road bump on Wednesday in a 97-77 loss to the Jazz. Jimmy Butler had 16 points and 11 rebounds while Taj Gibson added 15 points off the bench, but Derrick Rose shot a miserable three of 15 from the field for his seven points while the Bulls shot just 33.3 percent from the field as a team. Given plenty of credit to the Jazz for getting the win, but the Bulls were just ice-cold from the field and probably would have lost against anyone. Despite the loss the Bulls are still 25-11 on the season and 11-7 at home.

Meanwhile, the Washington Wizards are coming off a second straight victory, beating the shorthanded Knicks by 101-91 on Wednesday. John Wall led the way with 18 points and eight assists while Nene Hilario added 20 points in just 24 minutes as the Wizards cruised against a Knicks team playing without Carmelo Anthony, Amare Stoudemire and JR Smith. In hindsight, the Wizards probably should have won this game by at least 20 points but there was never really a feeling that they were even in danger of losing this game which was why they took their foot off the gas late in the second half.
In ATS trends, the Bulls are 4-0 ATS in their last four games against a team above .600 and 6-2 ATS in their last eight road games, while the Wizards are 1-3-1 ATS in their last five games overall and 2-5 ATS in their last seven games against a team above .600.
Head to head, the Bulls are 4-10 ATS in the last 14 meetings overall and 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings in Washington.
These teams last met on Dec. 23 and it was the Bulls who won by 99-91 behind 25 points from Rose and I feel this game is going in the same direction, especially with the Bulls coming off their worst loss of the season.
