The Charlotte Hornets travel to Madison Square Garden to take on the New York Knicks today.
The Charlotte Hornets have been streaky all season, but they're definitely on a bit of a roll now after beating the Raptors by 103-95 on Thursday for their fourth straight win. Kemba Walker continued his hot form with 29 points and eight asissts and received plenty of help from Gerald Henderson who scored a game-high 31 points on 13 of 20 shooting. Defensively, the Hornets were as good as ever, holding the Raptors to 39.8 percent shooting, holding Kyle Lowry to seven of 22 shooting and outrebounding the Raptors by 46-42 without the help of Al Jefferson. With the win, Charlotte improves to 14-24 overall and 6-12 on the road.

Meanwhile, the New York Knicks are coming off a 14th straight loss after losing to the Rockets by 120-96 on Thursday. Travis Wear scored 21 points off the bench while Langston Galloway added 19 points, but the Knicks were always long shots to even hang with the Rockets who shot over 53 percent from the field and 16 of 36 from the three-point line. Once again, Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemire were both out with injuries while JR Smith played his first game for his new team, so the Knicks will be struggling to score points for a while.
In ATS trends, the Hornets are 4-0 ATS in their last four games overall and 7-2 ATS in their last nine road games, while the Knicks are 3-11-1 ATS in their last 15 games against a team with a losing record and 1-7-1 ATS in their last nine games overall.
Head to head, the Hornets are 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings in New York and the Over is 8-0-1 in the last nine meetings overall.
Plain and simple, you just can't back the Knicks the way they've been playing, especially now that they're missing so much talent. For me, it has to be the Hornets or nothing in this meeting.
