The Portland Trailblazers travel to the Staples Center to take on the Los Angeles Lakers tonight.
The Portland Trailblazers have won seven of their last eight overall and will be going for a fifth straight tonight after beating the Magic by 103-92 last night. LaMarcus Aldridge led the scoring with 25 points, Wesley Matthews added 18 points and Damian Lillard had 16 points as the Blazers battled with the Magic in a see-saw match before locking down in a 31-22 fourth quarter and running away with the win to improve to 29-8 on the season and 18-3 at home.

Coincidentally, the Los Angeles Lakers are also coming into this game after beating the Magic by 101-84 on Friday. Jeremy Lin led the scoring with 18 points and six assists while rookie Taris Black had a career-high 14 points as the Lakers cruised past the Magic despite playing without Kobe Bryant. LA has now won three of their last six overall but they haven't beaten a team with a winning record since shocking the Warriors back on Dec. 23.
In ATS trends, the Blazers are 4-1 ATS in their last five road games and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a losing record, while the Lakers are 4-1-1 ATS in the last six home games and 4-1-1 ATS in their last six games overall.
Head to head, the Blazers are 33-15 ATS in the last 48 meetings overall and 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings in Los Angeles.
The Lakers and Blazers met just last Monday and it was the Blazers who used a late run to beat the Lakers by 98-94 behind 39 points from Lillard. It was somewhat of a surprisingly close game because the Lakers were without Kobe, but I think the Blazers do a better job of putting this one away early this time around.
