The Los Angeles Lakers hope to have Kobe Bryant tonight when they play the Miami Heat.
The Miami Heat have lost five of their last seven games overall but received a major morale boost on Sunday by beating the red-hot Clippers by 104-90. Chris Bosh scored 34 points while Dwyane Wade added 17 points and 10 assists but the biggest boost for the Heat was the unknown Hassan Whiteside who exploded for 23 points, 16 rebounds and two blocks in just 29 minutes off the bench. Defensively, the Heat did a great job of keeping the Clippers to just 90 points because they were averaging 114.8 points in their previous four games and have been averaging 106.4 points per game on the season. With the win, Miami improves to 16-21 overall and 9-9 on the road.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Lakers have lost four of their last six overall and are coming off a 106-94 loss against the Blazers. For the second time in a week, the Lakers were in a dogfight with the Blazers until the fourth quarter where Damian Lillard once again put on a show and carried his team past the Lakers who were once again without Kobe Bryant. Wesley Johnson scored 17 points while Jordan Hill added 14, but there was just no one to turn to once the Blazers took over in the final period. With the loss, LA drops to 12-26 on the season and 6-13 at home.
In ATS trends, the Heat are 2-5 ATS in their last seven games overall and 0-10-1 ATS in their last 11 games following a win, while the Lakers are 3-0-2 ATS in their last five games against a team with a losing record and 5-2-2 ATS in their last nine games following a loss.
Head to head, the Heat are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 meetings overall and the Under is 4-0 in the last four meetings in Los Angeles.
Kobe went through a full practice so he is expected to suit up for tonight's game. With that being said, I think the Lakers should have the goods to grab another rare win tonight in front of their home crowd.
