The Sacramento Kings and Portland Trail Blazers meet Monday night at the Moda Center.
The Sacramento Kings have lost five of their last seven games and play their third road contest of the month. On the season, the Kings are averaging 101.9 points on 45.8 percent shooting and are allowing 103.9 points on 44.9 percent shooting. Rudy Gay is averaging 20.4 points and 4.1 assists while Darren Collison is averaging 16.5 points and 5.9 assists. Ben McLemore is shooting 46.3 percent from the field and Carl Landry is grabbing 4.4 rebounds. The Sacramento Kings just can’t get stops on the defensive end, as they’ve allowed 100-plus points in seven of their last 10 games and are allowing teams to shoot 47.1 percent in their last five games. The Kings also need to get healthy. DeMarcus Cousins is questionable for this game with an ankle injury.
USA TODAY Sports
The Portland Trail Blazers have split their last eight games and look to snap a three-game skid. On the season, the Trail Blazers are averaging 103.2 points on 45 percent shooting and are allowing 97 points on 43 percent shooting. LaMarcus Aldridge is averaging 23.5 points and 10.4 rebounds while Damian Lillard is averaging 22.1 points and 6.2 assists. Wesley Matthews is shooting 46.8 percent from the field and Chris Kaman is grabbing 6.8 rebounds. The Portland Trail Blazers have really been on the short end of the stick against three straight West playoff teams and should enjoy this upcoming stretch. However, the Trail Blazers need to get going offensively, as they’re averaging just 99.6 points in their last five games and have lost five of their last eight games when scoring less than 100 points.
The Kings are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 road games and 4-12-2 ATS in their last 18 games overall. The Trail Blazers are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 vs. NBA Pacific. The home team is 5-2 ATS in the last 7 meetings and the underdog is 4-0 ATS in the last 4 meetings.
The best bet would be to leave this game alone. However, for the sake of the article, I'll take the Kings and double-digit points. This is just too many points to pass up.
