The Line: New Orleans Pelicans -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds

TV: FSWHD, FSN

The Los Angeles Clippers and New Orleans Pelicans meet Friday at the Smoothie King Center.

The Los Angeles Clippers are starting to seperate themselves with six straight wins. On the season, the Clippers are averaging 107 points on 47.5 percent shooting and are allowing 99.8 points on 45.3 percent shooting. Blake Griffin is averaging 22.7 points and 7.6 rebounds while Chris Paul is averaging 17.5 points and 9.7 assists. Jamal Crawford is shooting 39.9 percent from the field and DeAndre Jordan is grabbing 13.3 rebounds. The Los Angeles Clippers have held five of their last eight opponents under 100 points and are allowing 42.1 percent shooting in their last five games. When the Clippers play defense like that, they’re a tough team to beat regardless of who they play. J.J. Redick is questionable for this game with a back injury.

Pelicans vs. Clippers 1/30/15 - NBA Pick, Odds, and Prediction

USA TODAY Sports

The New Orleans Pelicans have won five of their last seven games and are back in the playoff hunt. On the season, the Pelicans are averaging 100 points on 45.6 percent shooting and are allowing 99 points on 45.8 percent shooting. Tyreke Evans is averaging 17.2 points and 5.6 assists while Ryan Anderson is averaging 14.8 points and 5.1 rebounds. Eric Gordon is dishing 3.5 assists and Omer Asik is grabbing 10 rebounds. The New Orleans Pelicans have allowed 93 or less points in five of their last seven games and are allowing 41.4 percent shooting in their last five games. Consistency has been an issue for the Pelicans but this is a chance for them to prove themselves. Anthony Davis is questionable for this game with a groin injury.

The Clippers are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 road games and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games following a S.U. win. The Pelicans are 20-8-1 ATS in their last 29 home games and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Clippers are 3-13 ATS in the last 16 meetings in New Orleans and 8-20 ATS in the last 28 meetings.

I like the Pelicans on their home court and the free points. New Orleans is playing its best ball of the season and the Clippers aren't the greatest team against the number. Give me the points.
