The Miami Heat hope to have Loul Deng back when they play the Boston Celtics today.
The Miami Heat have lost four of their last six outings and will be looking to avoid a third straight loss after getting trounced 93-72 by the Maverisk on Friday. With Dwyane Wade and Loul Deng sidelined, the Heat fought hard to lead at halftime by 45-33, but it all fell to pieces in the second half when the Mavericks went on an amazing 37-2 run to put the game to bed. Chris Bosh scored 12 points but shot just five of 18 from the field while James Ennis added 15 points, but the silver lining in the loss was definitely the play of Hassan Whiteside who racked up 16 points and 24 rebounds. In injury news, Deng could return after a two-game absence but Wade is still out.

Meanwhile, the Boston Celtics have won three of their last six games but are looking to avoid a third straight loss after falling to the Rockets by 93-87 on Friday. The Celtics fell behind by 18 points at halftime, before some determined defense held the Rockets to just nine points in the third quarter, but in the end, the Rockets just had enough to send the Celtics to 16-29 on the season and a second straight loss. Brandon Bass and Marcus Thornton led the scoring with 17 points each while Tayshaun Prince added 13 points, but the Celtics shot just 35.6 percent from the field.
In ATS trends, the Heat are 5-0-1 ATS in their last six road games and 7-1 ATS in their last eight games following a loss of more than 10 points, while the Celtics are 4-0 ATS in their last four games following a loss and 6-1 ATS in their last seven games overall.
Head to head, the Heat are 1-6 ATS in the last seven meetings overall and just 8-20 ATS in the last 28 meetings in Boston.
The Heat will be really low on scoring options if Deng doesn't suit up today, so I'm actually leaning towards the Celtics who looked pretty good despite losing in their last outing.
