The Los Angeles Lakers travel to Madison Square Garden to battle the New York Knicks today.
The Los Angeles Lakers were able to snap an ugly nine-game losing streak on Thursday with a surprising double overtime 123-118 win over the Bulls. Jordan Hill scored a team-high 26 points with 12 rebounds while Wayne Ellington added 23 points and Jordan Clarkson added 18 as the Lakers were able to win without Kobe Bryant and Nick Young. With the win, the Lakers were able to avoid matching the longest losing streak in team history, while beating Pau Gasol's new team in his first game back at Staples Center.

Meanwhile, the New York Knicks have won four of their last six games overall, but are coming into this one fresh off a 103-82 loss to the Pacers. Carmelo Anthony had a quick-fire 18 points in 25 minutes while Lou Amundson added 17 points, but after getting the early lead, the Knicks found themselves scratching their head after the Pacers outscored them in the second and third quarters by a combined 67-32 points. New York has actually enjoyed a bit of success lately, but once again we how bad they are when they don't play a full 48 minutes. With the loss, New York drops to 9-38 on the season and 3-21 on the road, but they've actually won their last three at home.
In ATS trends, the Lakers are 10-4-1 ATS in their last 15 games against a team below .400 abd 2-7-1 ATS in their last 10 games overall, while the Knicks are 5-1 ATS in their last six games overall and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 home games.
Head to head, the Home team is 6-0 ATS in the last six meetings overall and the Favorite is 7-2 ATS in the last nine meetings.
The Lakers really did look like a different team in their thrilling win over the Bulls, but im worried that it was just a one-night stand. With that being said, the Knicks have hardly been a reliable team to bet on, but they've discovered a bit of form at home and should be able to extend their home winning streak to four with a victory tonight.
