The Brooklyn Nets and Washington Wizards meet Saturday night at the Verizon Center.

The Brooklyn Nets have won three straight games as they begin an eight-game road trip. On the season, the Nets are averaging 96.1 points on 44.7 percent shooting and are allowing 99.5 points on 45.3 percent shooting. Joe Johnson is averaging 15.8 points and 3.8 assists while Brook Lopez is averaging 15.3 points and 6.2 rebounds. Deron Williams is dishing 6.1 assists and Jarrett Jack is shooting 44.4 percent from the field. The Brooklyn Nets are now 3-0 SU since the return of Williams and are probably playing their best ball of the season right now. The Nets are killing it especially on offense, as they’re shooting 37.5 percent from deep in their last five games. The Nets are coming off a Friday win over the Knicks where they shot 50 percent from the field.

Wizards vs. Nets - 2/7/15 NBA Pick, Odds, and Prediction

USA TODAY Sports

The Washington Wizards hope to get back on track after losing five straight games. On the season, the Wizards are averaging 99.6 points on 47.1 percent shooting and are allowing 98.1 points on 43.9 percent shooting. John Wall is averaging 17.5 points and 10.2 assists while Paul Pierce is averaging 12.8 points and 4.4 rebounds. Marcin Gortat is grabbing eight rebounds and Nene Hilario is shooting 51.8 percent from the field. The Washington Wizards are allowing 46.7 percent shooting from the field 35.8 percent from deep in their last five games. Defense is key for this team, as the Wizards have lost 10 of their last 11 games when allowing 100-plus points. Bradley Beal and Kevin Seraphin are both questionable for this game with injuries.

The Nets are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games playing on 0 days rest and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games overall. The Wizards are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games playing on 1 days rest. The Nets are 2-8 ATS in the last 10 meetings in Washington and 1-4 ATS in the last 5 meetings overall.

Not sure how you can lay this chalk with a Wizards team that's stinking it up and a Nets team that has their eyes set on the playoffs. I'll gladly take the points here given the circumstances.
