The Phoenix Suns and Sacramento Kings meet Sunday night at the Sleep Train Arena.
The Phoenix Suns are looking for some consistency after splitting their last 10 games. On the season, the Suns are averaging 106.1 points on 46.2 percent shooting and are allowing 104.7 points on 45.4 percent shooting. Eric Bledsoe is averaging 16.9 points and 5.9 assists while Goran Dragic is averaging 16.2 points and 4.1 assists. Markieff Morris is grabbing six rebounds and Isaiah Thomas is dishing 3.6 assists. The Phoenix Suns are actually playing inconsistent offense as of late, as they’re shooting just 42.6 percent from the field in their last five games. With the inconsistencies on the defensive side, the Suns have to be a lot better offensively if they hope to get back in the win column consistently.
USA TODAY Sports
The Sacramento Kings have won just one game since the middle of January and are a complete mess. On the season, the Kings are averaging 100.8 points on 45.2 percent shooting and are allowing 104.6 points on 45.1 percent shooting. DeMarcus Cousins is averaging 23.7 points and 12.5 rebounds while Rudy Gay is averaging 20.2 points and 3.9 assists. Ben McLemore is shooting 44.8 percent from the field and Carl Landry is grabbing 4.4 rebounds. The Sacramento Kings have allowed 100-plus points in seven of their last eight games and are allowing 46.6 percent shooting from the field in their last five games. The Kings are showing no heart on either side of the ball and appeared to have mailed it in. Darren Collison is questionable for this game with a hip injury.
The Suns are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games playing on 1 days rest and 6-1 ATS in their last 7 road games vs. a team with a losing home record. The Kings are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games and 12-5-2 ATS in their last 19 games playing on 0 days rest. The Suns are 6-1 ATS in the last 7 meetings in Sacramento and 9-4 ATS in the last 13 meetings overall.
Both of these teams are so up and down lately that they're both hard to back. For the sake of the article, I'll take the Kings and the points at home. However the best bet may be to avoid this game.
