The Brooklyn Nets travel to the Pepsi Center to take on the Denver Nuggets tonight.
The Brooklyn Nets were able to snap a three-game skid on Friday with a 114-105 win over the Lakers thanks to a balanced scoring effort. Joe Johnson led the way with 23 points, Brook Lopez added 22, Bojan Bogdanovic added 18 and Deron Williams had 12 points and 15 assists as the Nets blew past the Lakers following a 40-20 third quarter effort. Thaddeus Young played his first game since being traded from Minnesota and was able to make the most of just 12 minutes of play, scoring eight points and four rebounds but he'll surely be worked into more minutes as the season progresses. With the win, Brooklyn improved to 22-31 on the season and 12-16 on the road.

Meanwhile, the Denver Nuggets continued to struggle their way through the season but they'll be thankful to finally come back from after getting back home as they've lost six of their last seven on the road. Last night against the Thunder, Ty Lawson scored 17 points, Danilo Gallinari added 16 and Jusuf Nurkic had 10, but no other Nuggets player finished in double figures as they lost by 119-94. Playing at home hasn't really helped much either as they've actually lost their last five at home so it's fair to say that the advantage of playing at the Pepsi Center doesn't have the same effect as it did in seasons past.
In ATS trends, the Nets are 1-6 ATS in their last seven games following a win and 5-1 ATS in their last six after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game, while the Nuggets are 2-7 ATS in their last nine games overall and 1-5 ATS in their last six home games.
Head to head, the Nets are 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings and the Under is 4-0 in the last four meetings.
I'm actually a little surprised that the Nuggets are favorites in this one becuase they've been playing some really poor basketball lately. For me, it's definitely the Nets to win and cover the spread in this one.
