The Brooklyn Nets travel to the Smoothie King Center to battle the New Orleans Pelicans tonight.
The Brooklyn Nets continued their eight-game road trip with another win on Monday, beating the Nuggets by 110-82 in an absolute rout. Seven players finished in double figures with Brook Lopez scoring a team-high 19 points and Deron Williams added 16 points and 12 assists, but this win was really about defense as the Nets held the Nuggets to just 33 percent shooting for the game and just 13 total points in the fourth quarter. Brooklyn has now won five of their last eight games overall but they're still just 23-31 on the season which leaves them just one game ahead of Detroit, Indiana and Charlotte for the last spot in the playoff standings.

Meanwhile, the New Orleans Pelicans are currently just two games out of the playoff race in the Western Conference after stunning the Raptors by 100-97 on Monday. Luke Babbitt scored 18 points, Alexis Ajinca added 16 and Norris Cole added 15 points as the injury-ravaged Pelicans overcame an 18-point deficit to beat the 37-19 Raptors. With players like Anthony Davis, Ryan Anderson and Jrue Holiday out injured, you would have expected the Pelicans to lose this one by double digits but they really rallied together for one of their best wins of the season to improve to 29-27 overall and 18-10 at home.
In ATS trends, the Nets are 5-2 ATS in their last seven road games and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games overall, while the Pelicans are 2-5 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a losing record and 1-4 ATS in their last five home games.
Head to head, the Nets are 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings and the Over is 7-0 in the last seven meetings in New Orleans.
The Pelicans have been showing plenty of fight lately, but I really like the way the Nets have been playing lately. This one could be a close one, but I think the Nets have the form and depth to come away with a narrow win tonight.
