The hapless New York Knicks travel to The Palace to battle the Detroit Pistons tonight.
The season just can't end quick enough for the New York Knicks who will be desperate to snap their current eight-game losing streak. On Wednesday, five players finished in double figures with Andrea Bargnani scoring 17 points and Langston Galloway added 14, but the Knicks got absolutely dominated in the second half by 67-45 which has been the story of their season. To make matters worse, Jose Calderon left the game with Achilles soreness which has been bothering him for weeks, so he's likely to miss some time with the Knicks looking towards the lottery in the offseason.

Meanwhile, the Detroit Pistons have won six of their last nine before falling to the red-hot Cavaliers by 120-93 on Tuesday. Reggie Jackson led the team with 22 points and nine assists, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope added 21 points and Andre Drummond added 17 but it wasn't enough as the Pistons led in the first half before getting completely dominated in a 49-31 second half. Prior to the loss, the Pistons were winners against the Bulls and the Wizards, so they've definitely been in some decent form but this loss drops them to 23-34 on the season.
In ATS trends, the Knicks are 1-3-1 ATS in their last five road games and 0-4-1 ATS in their last five games overall, while the Pistons are 4-0 ATS in their last four games following a loss and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 home games.
Head to head, the Knicks are 19-7 ATS in the last 26 meetings but the Favorite is 16-5 ATS in the last 21 meetings.
The Knicks have just so bad lately that I just can't back them against any team, especially on the road. I'm taking the Pistons at home all the way in this one.
