The Denver Nuggets and Minnesota Timberwolves meet Wednesday at the Target Center.
The Denver Nuggets look for a win after losing six of their last eight games. On the season, the Nuggets are averaging 99.5 points on 42.7 percent shooting and are allowing 104 points on 45.4 percent shooting. Will Barton is averaging 16.6 points and 1.8 assists while Ty Lawson is averaging 16.3 points and 9.8 assists. Wilson Chandler is shooting 41.4 percent and Kenneth Faried is grabbing 8.5 rebounds. The Denver Nuggets are coming off an impressive Tuesday win over the Bucks in which they allowed just 40.7 percent shooting. The Nuggets weakness has been defense all season, but they have won six of their last 11 games when allowing less than 100 points. Darrell Arthur is doubtful with a knee injury.

The Minnesota Timberwolves also look for a win after losing six of their last eight. On the season, the Timberwolves are averaging 97.8 points on 43.4 percent shooting and are allowing 105.6 points on 48.7 percent shooting. Andrew Wiggins is averaging 15.8 points and 4.3 rebounds while Ricky Rubio is averaging 11.5 points and 8.6 assists. Gorgui Dieng is grabbing 8.5 rebounds and Kevin Garnett is shooting 52.4 percent. The Minnesota Timberwolves are shooting just 40.1 percent from the field in their last five games. While the TImberwolves are playing with more energy since the return of Garnett, this is still a team already looking ahead to next season. Kevin Martin and Nikola Pekovic are questionable with injuries.
The Nuggets are 2-7-1 ATS in their last 10 games playing on 0 days rest and 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a S.U. win. The Timberwolves are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 home games and 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games overall. The Nuggets are 11-2-1 ATS in the last 14 meetings in Minnesota.
I'm not sure how the Timberwolves are getting this much love from oddmakers, as this should be closer to a pick em with both teams in the same boat. Give me the Nuggets, as more of a fade from Minny.
