After a 13-game set last night, the NBA is taking a breather in the coming hours with just two matchups on the schedule tonight. The good news is that they’re both nationally televised, however, so we’ve got quite a bit to look forward to. In the meantime, let’s check out some of the players and stats in the news right now.

Pacers-Knicks: This Eastern Conference rivalry doesn’t have quite the flavor this year that it usually does, but it’s still fun to watch the Knicks and Pacers duke it out. Indiana continued their playoff quest last night with a pretty easy 105-82 victory over New York in Indianapolis.
George Hill led the way on 21 points (a season-high for him) and the Indy defense forced 16 turnovers in the first half alone. The Pacers are now just half a game behind Miami for the last playoff slot in the conference.

Magic-Suns: Down in sunny Orlando, the Suns used a big third-quarter rally to push past the Magic 105-100 last night. Brandon Knight led the inconsistent Phoenix squad on a 28-point, seven-assist evening as the Suns pushed through a 15-point deficit.
Markeif Morris managed 23 points and six rebounds, while P.J. Tucker logged 19 second-half points in the rally.
Phoenix is 4-10 in their last 14 games and still trying to regain their footing.

Cavs-Raptors: LeBron James put up a nice effort against the Raptors in Toronto last night, with 29 points and 14 assists (matching a season-high). Cleveland would hang on to post a 120-112 victory in Toronto.
The East is deadlocked up top right now, with Cleveland (39-24), Toronto (38-23) and Chicago (38-23) all vying for the second spot in the conference. They’re all trailing Atlanta by 10 ½ games.

Rockets-Grizzlies: Marc Gasol got to play the hero last night in the Grizzlies’ 102-100 victory over the Rockets in Houston. He sank a jumpshot with just 0.1 seconds left on the clock to get the win, topping off his 21-point night in style.
The season series is now tied at 2-2 between these teams.
Terrence Jones would finish with 21 points and James Harden logged 18 in his return from suspension.
