We’ve got another packed evening of NBA action coming up, with eight games on the schedule. While we’re waiting, let’s check out some of the notable players and stats out there in the headlines during our daily wrap-up.
Spurs-Bulls: The Spurs won their fifth straight game last night in San Antonio, posting a 116-105 win over the Bulls. The big news, however, was the fact that Tim Duncan went without a field goal.
It was the first time in Duncan’s 18-year career that he was futile from the field, going 0-of-8 with three points. Meanwhile, Tony Parker put up 32 points in a season-high effort.
Kawhi Leonard added another 20 points, while Patty Mills posted 15.

Warriors-Clippers: The Warriors extended their Western-Conference lead on a 106-98 win over the Clippers last night in Oakland, spurred on by Klay Thompson’s 21 points and Draymond Green’s 23 points with six assists.
Shaun Livingston also added a nice 21 points for the Warriors off the bench. He also had eight rebounds.
On the other side, Austin Rivers posted 22 points off the bench.
Hornets-Pistons: The Hornets logged a 108-101 win over the Pistons last night, thanks to Michael Kidd Gilchrist’s 10 points and six rebounds. He was also a huge defensive presence.
Reggie Jackson was the big mark on the box score, posting 21 points in the second half alone.
Greg Monroe would post 18 points and 11 rebounds, but the Pistons couldn’t connect outside on 3-of-14 on 3-pointers.
Magic-Celtics: Maurice Harkless and Tobias Harris were on point last night against the Celtics, posting 16 combined points in the fourth quarter en route to a 103-98 win in Orlando.
The Magic posted a nice 12-0 run in that final period, with Victor Oladipo putting up 22 points overall as the team overcame Boston for the victory.
On the other side, Isaiah Thomas put up 21 in a team-high effort.
