The Charlotte Hornets play host to the Sacramento Kings at the Time Warner Cable Arena on Wednesday.
The Charlotte Hornets will be eager to get back on the court after getting embarrassed by the Wizards in a 95-69 loss on Monday, snapping a five-game win streak. Mo Williams led the way with 19 points while Al Jefferson added 14 points, but the Hornets were sluggish out of the gates and fell behind by 36-21 after the first quarter and things just went from bad to worse as they totalled just 23 points in the second half. As a team, the Hornets shot a miserable 32.5 percent from the field and four of 22 from the three point line which was a real surprise given that they were average 106.5 points during their win streak. With the loss, Charlotte falls to 28-34 overall which leaves them equal with seventh-placed Indiana in the Eastern standings.

Meanwhile, the Sacramento Kings have lost six of their last seven and are looking to avoid a fifth straight loss after getting routed by the Hawks in a 130-105 loss on Monday. Rudy Gay led the team with 23 points on 10 of 15 shooting while DeMarcus Cousins added 12 points, 14 rebounds and six assists but it was never going to be enough as the Hawks shot a blistering 60.2 percent from the field and 20 of 36 from the three-point line to rack up their highest point total of the season. The Kings never really had a chance as they fell behind by double digits early and the deficit just grew and grew as the game wore on.
In ATS trends, the Kings are 11-27-2 ATS in their last 40 games overall and 0-4 ATS in their last four road games, while the Hornets are 1-4 ATS in their last five home games and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games against a team below .400.
Head to head, the Kings are 3-7 ATS in the last 10 meetings in Charlotte and the favorite is 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings.
Not only have the Kings been losing games, they haven't even been able to cover any spreads lately so it's real hard to back them, especially what we saw from them on Monday.
