Pelicans-Nets: Speaking of playoff-standings, the Pelicans are inching closer to that No. 8 slot in the West, thanks to a 111-91 victory over the Nets last night in New York. Alexis Ajinca and Quincy Pondexter each posted 17 points in the win, and now the team is just percentage points away from that playoff spot.
Omer Asik also added 12 ponts and 15 rebounds in this one, New Orleans’ third straight win.

Mavericks-Cavaliers: LeBron James wasn’t wearing his headband last night against the Mavericks, but it hardly mattered. He still put up 27 points in the 127-94 win, nabbing sole possession of the Cavs’ franchise assists record in the process.
Three other players had 20-plus points in the victory last night. The team has won 12 of 13 against the West.

Spurs-Raptors: The Spurs are rolling right now as well, following a 117-107 win over the Raptors last night. It was San Antonio’s sixth straight win.
Kawhi Leonard posted 24 points and 11 rebounds, also matching a career-high with five steals. Tony Parker would add 23 points and nine assists.
