USA TODAY Sports
The Portland Trail Blazers look for a win after wins in five of their last six games. On the season, the Trail Blazers are averaging 102.4 points on 44.4 percent shooting and are allowing 97.4 points on 43.3 percent shooting. LaMarcus Aldridge is averaging 23.2 points and 10.5 rebounds while Damian Lillard is averaging 21.4 points and 6.2 assists. Robin Lopez is grabbing seven rebounds and Nicolas Batum is dishing 4.8 assists. The Portland Trail Blazers have allowed less than 100 points in seven of their last nine games, but struggled mightily against Minnesota in their first game without Wesley Matthews. The Trail Blazers will have to figure things out with one of their better players sidelined for the remainder of the season.
The Rockets are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games playing on 3 or more days rest and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Trail Blazers are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 Wednesday games and 3-9 ATS in their last 12 games following a S.U. loss. The Rockets are 8-1-1 ATS in the last 10 meetings in Portland and 5-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings overall.
It's very tough to win in Portland. So, even without Matthews on the court, I'll take the Trail Blazers and lay the bucket.
