NBA Player Updates 3/12: The Latest News from Around the League, Tonight's TV Schedule and More
March 12, 2015
After a busy 10-game set in the NBA last night, we’ve got just five games to help ease us into the weekend. Still, there should be some good basketball going on out there, so with that said let’s check out some of the notable players and situations across the league right now.
Kings-Hornets: Coming into this one, the Kings were riding a four-game losing streak. They were able to turn their fortunes around against the Hornets, however, posting a 113-106 victory last night.
DeMarcus Cousins led the way for Sacramento, posting 20 points and 14 rebounds. He was 4-of-4 from the field in the fourth. Ben McLemore added 27 points and Rudy Gay put up 26 of his own.

Bulls-76ers: Even though the Bulls are stretched thin due to injuries right now, they were still able to take care of the Sixers. It took them overtime to do it, however. Chicago took it 104-95 last night in Philly, spurred on by Aaron Brooks’ season-high 31 points. He scored seven of those in the OT period.
Pau Gasol contributed yet another double-double to his résumé on 27 points and 16 rebounds.
Heat-Nets: Now let’s move on to a big East rivalry in the Heat and the Nets. Miami started this home game hot, and they were able to finish strong for a 104-98 victory. Dwyane Wade had 28 points and nine assists, while Chris Andersen logged 18 points (tying a career-high) and 14 rebounds (a new season-high).
Andersen was playing more minutes in place of suspended center Hassan Whiteside.
Warriors-Pistons: It wasn’t pretty, but the Warriors were able to maintain their momentum last night in Oakland, bagging their fifth straight win against the visiting Pistons.
Klay Thompson put up 27 points in the 105-98 victory, which was win No. 51 for the Warriors this year. The team had 16 turnovers overall, however, which was pretty uncharacteristic of them.
