NBA Player Updates 3/13: The Latest News from Around the League, Tonight's TV Schedule and More
March 13, 2015
After a pretty subdued evening last night, the NBA is getting down to business in the coming hours on this unlucky Friday the 13th. We’ve got nine games to look forward to tonight, but before we get to those let’s check out some of the news out there right now.
Pacers-Bucks: This is about as close to playoff basketball as the NBA gets in March. The Pacers outlasted the Bucks in overtime last night, taking a victory 109-103. The win came courtesy of Rodney Stuckey’s 25 points, and Luis Scola helped out with 17 points and 15 rebounds.
Indiana was down by two in overtime, but utilized a 9-0 run to seal the victory.

Wizards-Grizzlies: The Wizards were able to cruise past the Grizzlies last night 107-87, but that win comes with an asterisk. Memphis sat out a handful of their top players--only one technically due to an injury.
John Wall finished with 21 points, seven rebounds and six assists for Washington, who gave up 30 points to the Memphis reserves in the first quarter.
Jazz-Rockets: Well, this was somewhat unexpected. The Jazz’s Rudy Gobert was all over the court last night against the Rockets, posting an awesome line of 19 points, 22 rebounds and four blocks in a runaway 109-91 win in Salt Lake City. His 18 first-half rebounds tied the league’s season-high.
Utah has won nine of their last 11 games in a late-season resurgence. The 109 points were the team’s most since January 30.
Cavs-Spurs: This was the game of the night, and it certainly didn’t disappoint. It was Kyrie Irving’s evening, as he scored 57 points (a new career-high and NBA season-high) on the way to a 128-125 overtime win in San Antonio.
Irving scored nine points in the final minute of regulation, capped in a huge 3-pointer that sent the game to overtime.
