The Minnesota Timberwolves travel to the Chesapeake Energy Arena to battle the Oklahoma City Thunder tonight.
The Minnesota Timberwolves have lost six of their last seven games and are looking to avoid a third straight loss after falling to the Suns by 106-97 on Wednesday. Six players finished in double figures including Kevin Martin who led the way with 16 points and Justin Hamilton who added 15, but the Wolves just couldn't hang with the Suns as they allowed 50 percent shooting from the field while shooting just 44.4 percent from the line including one of 13 from the three-point line. To their credit, the Wolves were able to stay in the game by attacking the basket and getting to the charity stripe where they shot 24 of 26, but their defense continues to struggle to put consecutive stops together.

Meanwhile, the Oklahoma City Thunder have won three of their last five but will be looking to bounce back from a tough loss in their last outing, a 120-108 defeat at home to the Clippers on Wednesday. In a rare occurrence, Anthony Morrow exploded for a team-high 26 points off the bench while Enes Kanter added 18 points, but Russell Westbrook had his hands full with the Clippers' Chris Paul and wasn't able to score as freely as he has been lately. Still, Westbrook finished with nice numbers of 24 points, nine rebounds and seven assists but he was forced into 10 turnovers. It was definitely a tough loss for the Thunder, but to be fair, the Clippers would have beaten anyone with the way they played in that game.
In ATS trends, the Wolves are 6-2 ATS in their last eight games following a loss and 0-4 ATS in their last four road games, while the Thunder are 5-1 ATS in their last six games against a team with a losing record but 0-4 ATS in their last four games overall.
Head to head, the road team is 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings and the over is 7-2 in the last nine meetings in Oklahoma City.
The Thunder have already beaten the Wolves by a combined 27 points in two meetings this season so the line looks just about right for this game. However, with the Wolves having little to play for, I just can't see anything but a comfortable double digit win for the Thunder team coming off a bad loss at home.
