NBA Player Updates 3/15: The Latest News from Around the League, Tonight's TV Schedule and More
March 15, 2015
It’s been a pretty good weekend so far for NBA basketball, and we’re getting even more action headed our way with eight games today. Before we settle in for the upcoming tip-offs, let’s check out some of the notable players and situations out there in the league.
Celtics-Pacers: Boston took on the hottest team in the NBA last night on the road and pulled off an impressive win. They beat the Pacers 93-89 thanks in part to Tyler Zeller’s 18 points on 8-of-10 shooting. He also had seven rebounds.
The Celtics are on a roll right now. They’ve won six of their last seven and are a half-game out of the No. 8 playoff slot in the East. Things are certainly getting interesting.

Wizards-Kings: John Wall had an impressive evening at home against the Kings last night. He put up 31 points--tying a season high--and 12 assists in a 113-97 win.
Paul Pierce helped out with 17 points here, and the Wizards overcame a 21-point deficit in the third quarter to get this victory.
Overall it was a bad road trip for the Kings, who finished 2-6 on their eight-game swing.
Nets-Sixers: The Nets came into this one on a five-game skid, but the Sixers are just what the doctor ordered for an ailing NBA team. Brooklyn took the victory here 94-87, thanks to a 15-point effort from Joe Johnson and 21 from Thaddeus Young.
The Nets are now within striking distance of the playoffs, sitting within three games of the No. 8 slot. They’ll have to get hot and stay that way if they want to punch a postseason ticket.
Warriors-Knicks: Stephen Curry celebrated his 27th birthday in style last night against the Knicks, posting 25 points and 11 assists in a 125-94 blowout and a 6-of-10 mark from 3-point range.
Klay Thompson was also great, logging 27 points with six 3-pointers of his own. Golden State put up a whopping 47 points in the second quarter alone.
The Warriors lead the West with a 52-13 record.
