March 16, 2015
We’ve got a pretty good-looking NBA Monday headed our way in the coming hours, with 10 matchups set for tonight. Before we get settled, let’s take our daily look at the headlines and see which players everyone’s talking about.
Bulls-Thunder: Russell Westbrook posted a monster stat line last night against the Bulls, leading his team to a 109-100 victory. He had 36 points, 11 rebounds and six assists in the win.
Enes Kanter and Steven Adams both had double-doubles as well. Kanter put up 18 points and 18 rebounds while Adams posted 14 points and 11 boards.
This was just the third time in the past nine games when Westbrook didn’t post a triple-double.

Rockets-Clippers: The Rockets came into this one off a pair of tough losses on the road, but they were able to turn that tide against the Clippers last night. Houston took the win 100-98, thanks to James Harden’s 34 points. Terrence Jones also had a huge outing, logging 16 points and 12 rebounds.
The Rockets are now within two games of Memphis for the lead in the Southwest division. There are 16 games left to play.
Nuggets-Pelicans: When the dust settled in New Orleans last night, the home team dropped a heartbreaker to the Nuggets 118-111. This one took two overtimes to decide.
Will Barton was the hero here, managing 25 points, none bigger than a clutch 3-pointer late in the first OT that tied the game up.
On the losing side, Anthony Davis finished on 36 points, 14 rebounds and a very impressive nine blocks. He also had seven assists for a career-high there.
Cavs-Magic: Cleveland didn’t have a whole lot of trouble with the Magic in Orlando last night, thanks to Kyrie Irving’s 33 points. J.R. Smith also had 25 in the 123-108 victory.
Irving was 12-of-15 from the field here, while LeBron James supplied 21 points, 13 assists and eight rebounds. Cleveland has won four straight and six of the last seven.
