The San Antonio Spurs invade Madison Square Garden to battle the New York Knicks on Tuesday night.
The San Antonio Spurs have won seven of their last eight and were able to bounce back from a tough overtime loss to the Cavaliers on Thursday with a clinical 123-97 rout of the Timberwolves on Sunday. In a balanced scoring effort, Kawhi Leonard led eight players in double figures with 15 points, Danny Green added 13 points while Tim Duncan had just 10 as the Spurs shot a sizzling 58.3 percent from the field and finished with more than 100 points for the eighth straight game. With the easy win, San Antonio improved to 41-24 on the season which currently leaves them at fifth in the Western Conference standings, just ahead of Los Angeles and Dallas on percentage points.

Meanwhile, the New York Knicks have lost seven of their last eight overall and are coming home from a 1-4 road trip which finished with a 102-89 loss at Phoenix on Sunday. Alexey Shved and Andrea Bargnani led the team with 18 points each while Lance Thomas added 14 points, but no one else finished in double figures as the Knicks continued their offensive struggles which has them ranked second to last in points per game. In fact, the Knicks have scored more than 100 points only once in eight games this month.
In ATS trends, the Spurs are 6-2 ATS in their last eight games overall and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 road games, while the Knicks are 6-2-1 ATS in their last nine home games following a road trip of seven or more days and 2-5-1 ATS in their last eight games playing on one days rest.
Head to head, the over is 5-1 in the last six meetings overall and 6-2 in the last eight meetings in New York.
The Spurs have simply been playing some of the best basketball of any team this season, so I really don't see how they won't be able to cruise past the struggling Knicks tonight in a rout.
