The Sacramento Kings hope to have DeMarcus Cousins back on Friday when they host the Charlotte Hornets.
The Charlotte Hornets have lost four of their last five and are hoping to avoid a third straight loss after falling to the Clippers by 99-92 on Tuesday. Al Jefferson led the way with 21 points, Mo Williams added 18 points and Gerald Henderson added 16, but the Hornets just couldn't find a way past the Clippers despite cutting an 18-point deficit to a single point several times in the game. In the end, the Hornets will be kicking themselves that they dug themselves in such a deep hole to start the game, especially coming off an ugly 94-66 loss against the Jazz the night before. The costly loss drops Charlotte to 29-37 overall, half a game behind Boston and Indiana who occupy the eighth and ninth spots in the Eastern standings.

Meanwhile, the Sacramento Kings have lost 10 of their last 12 and will be hoping to get back DeMarcus Cousins after their 116-105 loss to the Clippers on Wednesday. Rudy Gay led the team in scoring with 23 points but just a paltry six of 19 while Andre Miller added 16 points, but the Kings were always second best against the Clippers who shot a healthy 51.1 percent from the field and 17 of 37 from the three-point line. On the bright side, the Kings managed to keep the final score respectable by getting to the free throw line with regularity where they made 26 of 32 but the Kings won't be causing many upsets with players like Cousins and Collison missing.
In ATS trends, the Hornets are 4-1 ATS in their last five games following a loss and 4-1 ATS in their last five road games, while the Kings are 14-35-2 ATS in their last 51 games overall and 0-4 ATS in their last four home games.
Head to head, the Hornets are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings in Sacramento and the road team is 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings.
Cousins is still questionable for tonight's game, but even if he did play, I'd still take the Hornets in this one.
