The Philadelphia 76ers travel to Staples Center to battle the Los Angeles Lakers tonight.
The Philadelphia 76ers have been enjoying a favorable stretch in their schedule, winning four of their last seven and their last two straight after making light work of the Knicks on Friday. Nerlens Noel had a monster game of 23 points, 14 rebounds, five steals and three blocks while Ish Smith added 15 points as the 76ers beat the Knicks by 97-81 to improve to 17-52 and 12-24 at home. In injury news, Thomas Robinson sat out with a rib injury and is listed as questionable for tonight game.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Lakers have lost nine of their last 10 and are hoping to avoid a fifth straight loss after falling to the Jazz by 80-73 on Thursday. Tarik Black led the scoring with 13 points while Wesley Johnson added 12 as the Lakers shot just 40.3 percent from the field to finish with their lowest point total of the season. In fact, the Lakers have scored more than 100 points twice in their last 10 games and neither of them were victories, so they need players like Jeremy Lin and Jordan Hill to step up their scoring production.
In ATS trends, the 76ers are 6-0 ATS in their last six against the Western Conference and 5-1 ATS in their last six games following a win of more than 10 points, while the Lakers are 8-1 ATS in their last nine games following a loss and 7-2 ATS in their last nine games overall.
It's really hard to split these two teams because you really can't rely on any player on either team to have a big night and take the game by the scruff of the neck. However, just looking at the ATS trends, the 76ers are 5-0 ATS in the last five meetings in Los Angeles so that's what I'm going with in this battle of the bottom teams in the league.
