The NBA is cooling its proverbial jets tonight after a busy weekend. We’ve still got a half-dozen games to look forward to in the coming hours, however, so with that said let’s check out some of the notable players and stats in the news.

Cavs-Bucks: LeBron James and the Cavaliers got a shot in the arm from LeBron James last night. He scored 28 points on the way to a 108-90 victory over the Bucks in Milwaukee, helping the team overcome an 11-point deficit in the third.
J. R. Smith had another strong game with 23 points. He made three straight 3-pointers during a 26-5 Cleveland run.
The Bucks have lost six games in a row.

Heat-Thunder: Russell Westbrook had his stamp all over the Heat-Thunder game last night, ending with a triple-double on 12-points, 10 rebounds and 17 assists in a 93-75 victory. It was Westbrook’s second straight triple-double.
Enes Kanter put up 27 points and 12 rebounds while rookie Mitch McGary put up 14 points of his own.
Miami came into this game on a three-game win streak.

Spurs-Hawks: The Spurs got a relatively easy 114-95 victory over the Hawks last night, and they did it on the road in Atlanta. Tiago Splitter put up a season-high 23 points in the 114-95 win, while Kawhi Leonard added another 20 points.
It was San Antonio’s third straight victory and Atlanta’s third straight loss.
The Spurs are now 18-17 on the road this year and 10-2 since March 4.

Raptors-Knicks: Toronto became the latest team to beat up on the league’s punching bag, rolling the Knicks 106-89 yesterday. DeMar DeRozan posted 23 points, while Tyler Hansborough managed 18, which was a season-high for him.
The Raptors have now won three of the last four. For the Knicks, they’ve lost 10 of their last 12 games.
