The Minnesota Timberwolves travel to the Toyota Center to battle the Houston Rockets tonight.
The Minnesota Timberwolves have played a total of three overtimes in their last four games and are coming off a 101-99 overtime loss against the Lakers. Andrew Wiggins led the team with 27 points on eight of 16 shooting, Chase Budinger added 22 points off the bench while Zach LaVine added 18 points, but in overtime, the Wolves just couldn't find a way to stop the Lakers' Jordan Clarkson who scored eight points in the extra period to send the Wolves to 16-55 on the season. The loss keeps the Wolves at dead last in the Western Conference and second worst overall in the league.

Meanwhile, the Houston Rockets have won five of their last six and are going for a third straight win after taking down the Pelicans by 95-93 on Wednesday. James Harden led the scoring with 25 points and 10 assists, Trevor Ariza added 22 points and Donatas Motiejunas added 21 points as the Rockets erased a 17-point deficit on the road to claim their third straight win away from home. However, the biggest news has to be the fact that Dwight Howard returned to the court and looked healthy in the 17 minutes that he was allowed to play. Of course, Howard is expected to play more minutes as the playoffs approach, but for now he is under a strict minutes limit.
In ATS trends, the Wolves are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games overall and 1-4 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record, while the Rockets are 5-1 ATS in their last six games overall and 15-5 ATS in their last 20 home games.
Head to head, the Wolves are 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings overall and the home team is 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings.
I really don't like how many points the bookies are giving the Wolves in this one, but this game really is one that the Rockets should win and cover with ease.
