LeBron James faces his former team again as the Cleveland Cavaliers host the Miami Heat tonight.
The Cleveland Cavaliers have won nine of their last 11 games and were able to escape disaster on Sunday when they beat the 76ers by just 87-86. LeBron James had a poor shooting night of eight of 24 from the field was still able to lead the way with 20 points, 11 rebounds and six assists while Kyrie Irving added 17 points, but there's no denying that the Cavs were way below their best and almost paid the price for overlooking the 76ers. On the other hand, perhaps they'll gain some confidence from the fact that they were still able to win despite shooting just 38.8 percent from the field and totalling just 34 points in an ugly second half.

Meanwhile, the have lost four of their last six games and are coming off a 95-81 loss to the Spurs. Goran Dragic led the way with 19 points while Dwyane Wade added 15 points, but it was never going to be enough against a red-hot Spurs team that's won five straight. The Heat were also without Udonis Haslem, Luol Deng while Hassan Whiteside was on a minutes restriction as he continues to recover from his hand injury, so it was really the worst time to be battling against one of the hottest teams in the league. With the loss, Cleveland drops to 34-40 on the season which has them in seventh place in the East and in real danger of dropping out of the playoff race.
In ATS trends, the Heat are 4-0-1 ATS in the last five games following a double digit loss at home and 1-4 ATS in their last five road games, while the Cavaliers are 12-4 ATS in their last 16 home games and 19-9 ATS in their last 28 games following a win.
Head to head, the home team is 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings and the under is 9-3-1 in the last 13 meetings in Cleveland.
The Heat really surprised me with a 106-92 win over the Cavs back on Mar. 16 but while the Heat are in desperate need of a win, I just can't see them troubling the Cavs on the road with the injuries they're currently dealing with.
