The Brooklyn Nets invade the Philips Arena to take on the Atlanta Hawks tonight.
The Brooklyn Nets have won nine of their last 11 games and will be going for a sixth straight win tonight after taking down the Raptors in a 114-109 victory last night. Deron Williams led the way with a season-high 31 points and 11 assists while Brook Lopez continued his strong form with 30 points and 17 rebounds, but what really got the Nets over the line was the play of Thaddeus Young who tied a career high with 29 points on 12 of 15 shooting. With the win, Brooklyn improved to 35-40 which is currently good enough for seventh place in the Eastern Conference standings which would set them up for a first-round meeting with the Cavaliers come playoff time.

Meanwhile, the Atlanta Hawks have won three of their last five but are coming off a disappointing 105-95 loss to the Pistons. Thabo Sefolosha led the team with 19 points while Al Horford added 16 points, but with the Hawks having virtually nothing to play for, coach Budenholzer elected to restrict his starting lineup to just 24 minutes each and we should expect more of the same as the regular season winds down as the Hawks are still 56-19 on the season and 24-14 on the road.
In ATS trends, the Nets are 10-1 ATS in their last 11 games against a team above .600 and 4-1-1 ATS in their last six games overall, while the Hawks are 4-1 ATS in their last five home games and 11-3 ATS in their last 14 games following a loss.
Head to head, the road team is 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings and the underdog is 6-2 ATS in the last eight.
In usual circumstances I'd be all over the Hawks to win and cover the spread at home, but their starters may not play their usual minutes once again, so I'm looking for the red-hot Nets to cover the spread and maybe even escape with the win.
