NBA Player Updates 4/11: The Latest News from Around the League, Tonight's TV Schedule and More
April 11, 2015
We’ve got just a half-dozen games to look forward to in the NBA tonight, which is quite a departure from last night’s 12-matchup schedule. Still, there’s some good basketball out there in the coming hours, so in the meantime let’s check out today’s headlines.
Hornets-Hawks: They’re feeling good in Atlanta this morning, as the Hawks are coming off a 104-80 win over the Hornets last night. Mike Muscala led the way with 17 points, helping the team to reach the 60-win mark for the first time in franchise history.
Muscala went 8-of-9 in this one, and is a stellar 21-of-25 in his past four appearances. He played over 25 minutes, since Paul Millsap is ailing.

Wizards-Nets: The Nets did a lot to secure their possible place in the playoffs last night, taking a big win over the Wizards 117-80.
Brook Lopez scored 26 points in this one, while Bojan Bogdanovic put up 22, which is a career high for him. He nailed all six of his shots from 3-point range.
Brooklyn is currently in control of their own destiny; they hold the No. 8 slot in the East with three games to go.
Celtics-Cavaliers: In another big Eastern Conference Battle, the Celtics were able to take care of business against the Cavaliers in Cleveland last night, winning 99-90. Marcus Smart put up 19 points for Boston, who had five players putting up double-digit points.
Boston holds a playoff slot for the moment, and has the edge on Brooklyn with the tiebreaker. As for the Cavs, they’ve clinched the No. 2 spot in the East and have little else to play for.
Spurs-Rockets: The defending champion Spurs are cooking in the second half. They got another big win last night over the Rockets, taking it 104-103. San Antonio held superstar guard James Harden to 16 points, nabbing a 10th straight victory in the process.
San Antonio is now in third place in the very competitive Western Conference, while the Rockets slide into the No. 6 space.
