The Sacramento Kings and the Los Angeles Lakers meet at Staples Center tonight for one last game this season.
The Sacramento Kings have lost eight of their last 10 games but were able to snap a three-game skid with a 102-92 win on Monday. In the absence of DeMarcus Cousins, Rudy Gay and Darren Collison, the Kings were in desperate need of scoring and they found that in Omri Casspi who poured in 26 points. Derrick Williams added 20 points while Carl Landry had 14 points as the Kings battled with the Lakers for three tight quarters before pulling away in a 27-18 fourth quarter to get the win and improve to 28-53 on the season and 18-23 at home.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Lakers had just three players in double digits and once again it was Jordan Clarkson who led from the front with 23 points and six assists while Jordan Hill and Jabari Brown added 18 points each, but no one else finished in double figures as the Lakers continue to experiment with different lineups. With the loss, Los Angeles falls to 21-60 on the season and put themselves in real danger of setting the team record for futility.
In ATS trends, the Kings are 8-20-1 ATS in their last 29 road games and 3-12-1 ATS in their last 16 games following a win, while the Lakers are 13-5-1 ATS in their last 19 games following a loss and 2-6 ATS in their last eight games overall.
Head to head, the Kings are 2-6-1 ATS in the last nine meetings overall and 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings in Los Angeles.
In a total meaningless game for both teams, you couldn't really back either side and feel too comfortable that you're getting your money back, so who knows which side to lean towards in this one. Therefore, I'm instead going to take the over in this one as the score has gone over the total in 35 of the last 52 meetings between these teams and I'm not expecting much defense in their last game of the season for both teams.
