The Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics play game three of their series Thursday night.
The Cleveland Cavaliers look to all but end this series with a victory here. Kyrie Irving is averaging 28 points and four assists while LeBron James is averaging 25 points and 7.5 rebounds. Kevin Love is grabbing nine rebounds and J.R. Smith is dishing an assist. The Cleveland Cavaliers need to get off to faster starts in this series, as they come out with little energy and are giving this young Celtics tea confidence. While the Cavs have found ways to pull through, these games have been a lot closer than anybody would have expected. Still, the Cavaliers are averaging 10 made threes in this series, which really helps get them over the hump against a subpar Boston offense. Eleven of the Cavs last 12 losses have come on the road.

The Boston Celtics need a win here if they’re going to have a shot at making this a series. Isaiah Thomas is averaging 22 points and 8.5 assists while Evan Turner is averaging 10.5 points and 9.5 rebounds. Jae Crowder is grabbing five rebounds and Marcus Smart is dishing 1.5 assists. The Boston Celtics continue to play solid defense but need to find one more scorer to really give the Cavs a scare. Thoms is the only Boston player averaging more than 10.5 points, and a lot of the pressure is on his shoulders. The Celtics will compete with their defense, but need someone like Avery Bradley or Tyler Zeller to be more aggressive offensively. The Celtics have won seven of their last 11 home games.
The Cavaliers are 13-6 ATS in their last 19 Conference Quarterfinals games and 1-5 ATS in their last 6 vs. NBA Atlantic. The Celtics are 12-4-1 ATS in their last 17 home games and 35-16-1 ATS in their last 52 games overall. The Cavaliers are 3-7 ATS in the last 10 meetings in Boston and 2-5 ATS in the last 7 meetings overall.
The Celtics have kept up with the Cavs for two straight games and just ran out of gass late in the fourth. The extra fuel this time around will be from the Boston home crowd. If Boston is going to win a game, it'll be this one. Take the points.
