Strengths: Karl-Anthony Towns is a very skilled big who can shoot the ball and has three-point potential. Towns has a great feel for the game and is a natural shot blocker. Towns has a great basketball IQ. Towns is an above-average rebounder and has a solid touch around the basket. Towns rarely takes plays off and always hustles down the court. Towns can defend multiple positions and is comfortable outside of the paint. Towns plays with great timing and can play physical at times. Towns has good court vision and is an underrated passer. Towns shot 81.3 percent from the free throw line. Karl-Anthony Towns is a hard worker and comes with no off-the-court issues.
Weaknesses: Karl-Anthony Towns needs to put on more healthy weight for the next level and I’d love to see him play with a little more aggressiveness. Towns could put on another 20 pounds or so. Towns needs to learn to defend better without fouling. Towns isn’t a great leaper and not the most athletic player. Towns also has to prove he can be the main guy and not just another player on a stacked team.
Projection: Karl-Anthony Towns is easily going to be a top five pick, as we have yet to see his full potential once he grows completely into his body. Towns is a true big who does pretty much everything well and could be a cornerstone for a team that’s lacking an identity. Towns will have a long and successful career at the next level.
