NBA Player Updates 4/27: The Latest News from Around the League, Tonight's TV Schedule and More
April 27, 2015
The 2015 NBA Playoffs continue to churn on, and we’ve got three more games to look forward to tonight. While we’re getting settled in, let’s check out some of the notable players and situations out there this morning.
Cavaliers-Celtics: The Cavaliers have completed their first step in clinching an Eastern Conference championship. Cleveland finished the 4-0 sweep of the Celtics yesterday in Boston, capping the series with a 101-93 win.
LeBron James scored 27 points in this one, and Kevin Love seems to be okay after leaving due to a shoulder dislocation in the first. He's going to miss a couple of weeks' time, however.
Cleveland will now meet the winner of the Bulls-Bucks series. Chicago is winning that one 3-1.

Clippers-Spurs: This series is getting very interesting. The Clippers evened things up at 2-2 with the Spurs last night with a 114-105 win in San Antonio. Chris Paul put up 34 points and seven assists here, while L.A. bounced back from their worst playoff loss in franchise history.
This is the only NBA first round playoff series that’s tied at 2-2 after four games, and this one very well could go to the wire. We’ll see how things play out.
Wizards-Raptors: And now back to the brooms. The Wizards took care of the Raptors 125-94 in Game 4 last night for a clean sweep of their first-round series.
This was the first sweep of a seven-game series in Washington history and they did it in style, with 21 points and 11 rebounds from Marcin Gortat and 14 points with 10 assists from John Wall.
Six Washington players scored in double figures here, giving the team a nice team-wide stretch of momentum going into the second round. They’ll see either Atlanta or Brooklyn there.
Rockets-Mavericks: The Mavericks were on the verge of being pushed out of the playoffs, but they were able to fight back and get a win over the Rockets last night.
Dallas took a 121-109 win, thanks to J.J. Barea, Tyson Chandler and Al-Farouq Aminu’s double-doubles. Monta Ellis also scored 31 points.
Dallas out-rebounded the Rockets 52-38 in this one, which was a big key in their victory.
