The San Antonio Spurs and Los Angeles Clippers play game five of their playoff series Tuesday night.
The San Antonio Spurs need this steal home court again and go for the kill in game six. Kawhi Leonard is averaging 24.8 points and 6.5 rebounds while Tim Duncan is averaging 16.3 points and 10.8 rebounds. Boris Diaw is dishing 4.3 assists and Manu Ginobili is grabbing 4.5 rebounds. The San Antonio Spurs were simply outplayed in their game four loss and the amount of minutes some guys are playing may be catching up to them. Tony Parker continues to deal with injuries, putting pressure on others. Patty Mills will remain the X-Factor for the Spurs success. Still, the Spurs haven’t lost back-to-back games since the end of February. The Spurs have won seven of their last 10 road games.

The Los Angeles Clippers look to put all the pressure on the Spurs with a victory here. Chris Paul is averaging 23.5 points and six assists while Blake Griffin is averaging 22.3 points and 13.3 rebounds. JJ Redick is dishing 1.3 assists and DeAndre Jordan is grabbing 12.8 rebounds. The Los Angeles Clippers continue to get elite production out of their star players, which has been just enough to remain in this series. Austin Rivers has topped double-digit points in back-to-back games, giving the Clippers a much-needed boost off the bench. The Clippers have to be aggressive defensively in order to really take control of this series. The Clippers have won 10 of their last 15 home games.
The Spurs are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 Conference Quarterfinals games and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a S.U. loss. The Clippers are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 home games and 2-5-1 ATS in their last 8 games overall. The underdog is 12-4 ATS in the last 16 meetings.
I think the home team wins the next three games in this series, which is why I'm taking the Clippers and laying the bucket here. The Clippers outplayed the Spurs in both games in LA and know they have to win here if they have any shot to win this series. Look for the Clips best effort yet.
