The Los Angeles Clippers and Houston Rockets meet Wednesday night for game two of their playoff series.
The Los Angeles Clippers stole game one despite playing without their leader in Paul. Blake Griffin is averaging 24.4 points and 13.3 rebounds while J.J. Redick is averaging 14.1 points and 1.4 assists. Jamal Crawford is dishing two assists and DeAndre Jordan is dishing 13.3 rebounds. The Los Angeles Clippers had an all around great performance in their victory, as Austin Rivers and Redick combined for 34 points. If the Clippers can get consistent play from their role guys like that, they’re a championship contender. The Clippers have won 11 of their last 12 road games. Chris Paul is questionable with a hamstring injury.

The Houston Rockets flat out stunk up game one and need to win this game to have a shot at the series. James Harden is averaging 27 points and 8.5 assists while Dwight Howard is averaging 17.5 points and 13.2 rebounds. Josh Smith is grabbing 6.2 rebounds and Trevor Ariza is dishing 3.2 assists. The Houston Rockets turned the ball over 24 times in game one and looked to not take the Clippers seriously. The Rockets better wake up and develop a killer instinct if they’re going to have a shot to advance further in the playoffs. Look for Harden to be more aggressive in game two. The Rockets have won seven of their last nine home games.
The Clippers are 15-5-1 ATS in their last 21 road games and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games following a ATS win. The Rockets are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games playing on 1 days rest and 21-8 ATS in their last 29 home games. The Clippers are 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings in Houston and 7-2 ATS in the last 9 meetings overall.
I expect the Rockets to come out with a lot more energy after really throwing away game one with sloppy play for whatever reason. I also don't think CP3 is going to play. Look for a comfortable Rockets win that covers the number late.
