Career Stats: 9.3 ppg, 6.9 rpg, 1.1 assists and 1.7 steals.
Strengths: Chris McCullough is a long, athletic big man with a wingspan of 7’3”. McCullough runs the floor well and is deadly in transition. McCullough gets to the basket quickly and does a great job of drawing contact. McCullough has improved his range that has three-point potential. McCullough sees the floor well and does a nice job of setting up his teammates. McCullough is an unselfish player who makes the smart bball play. McCullough is a versatile defender with great shot blocking ability. McCullough has good lateral quickness. Chris McCullough has a strong work ethic and comes with no off-the-court issues. McCullough just turned 20 years old in February.
Weaknesses: Chris McCullough missed half of last season with a torn ACL. McCullough needs to add weight, especially strength in the upper-body area. McCullough shot just 56.3 percent from the free throw line. McCullough has an inconsistent motor and will need to improve his vocal skills.
Projection: Chris McCullough would be a potential lottery pick if it wasn’t for his injury. Still, McCullough has a lot of upside and adds a spark to a team looking for somebody who plays above the rim. McCullough has the potential to be a great two-way player with starter ability. I see McCullough going anywhere in the late first round.
