NBA Player Updates 5/9: The Latest News from Around the League, Tonight's TV Schedule and More

After an evening off, the 2015 NBA Playoffs were back in action last night. We’ve got two more games to look forward to this evening, so before those tip-offs go into the air, let’s check out some of the notable players and situations from around the league.
Cavs-Bulls: The Cavaliers and Bulls gave us another exciting installment in their series last night, and this one came down to the wire.
After Cleveland tied things up at 96 following a three-pointer by J.R. Smith, Derrick Rose caught the inbounds pass with 10 seconds left and subsequently banked in a 3-pointer to give the Bulls the win 99-96.
This was Rose’s biggest shot of the postseason, obviously. He finished with 30 points overall. Jimmy Butler added 20 for the Bulls.
On the other side, LeBron James shot just 8 of 25 but scored 27 points. He’s now fourth on the career playoff assists list with 1,073. He had 14 here.

Rockets-Clippers: Austin Rivers provided the catalyst for a decisive run last night in L.A., helping the Clippers post a 124-99 victory over the Clippers, leading them to a 2-1 lead in the series.
Rivers posted a career playoff-high 25 points, and Chris Paul returned from an ankle injury to put up 12 points and seven assists. Blake Griffin managed 22 points and 14 rebounds in a double-double, while J.J. Redick logged a new career playoff-high himself with 31 points.
As for the Rockets, James Harden managed 25 points and 11 assists, while Dwight Howard put up 14 points and 14 rebounds.
These two teams will meet again tomorrow at Staples Center for Game 4.
