After yesterday’s Western Conference Game 7, we’ve got all four entrants to the conference finals in the 2015 NBA Playoffs. We’ve still got a couple of days to wait before the basketball gets going again, so with that said let’s check out some of the notable players and stats out there.

Rockets-Clippers: In one of the most memorable series in recent NBA Playoffs history, the Rockets overcame a 3-1 deficit to storm back and win the series against the Clippers. The decisive victory came yesterday with a 113-100 win in Houston. The Rockets will now move on to face the Warriors in the conference finals.
Houston came out swinging in this one, outscoring L.A. 28-21 in the first quarter. They kept it going with a 28-25 effort in the second, then after halftime went up 29-22 in the third for a big lead of 17 points.
James Harden finally had a big game, logging 31 points. Dwight Howard managed 16 points and 15 rebounds on another double-double.
The Clippers showed some life late with a 9-0 run that cut the lead to eight points with just over two minutes remaining, but it was too little, too late. Blake Griffin would finish with 27 points and Chris Paul would log 26 points with 10 assists.

Before we sign off for today, let’s head over to the East and check out a little tidbit from the Cavs’ practice this weekend. On Saturday, Kyrie Irving was held out of the team’s session due to his knee injury, which he re-aggravated in Game 6 against the Bulls.
Irving is suffering from tendinitis, and he’s also been hobbled with a right foot sprain. It’s a good thing the Cavaliers have a few days off before their Eastern Conference Final begins.
