We’re kicking off this holiday weekend in style when it comes to NBA basketball, as the 2015 Playoffs are switching back over to the Western Conference Finals for another great game. Before we settle in, let’s check out some of the notable players and stats out there.
Cavs-Hawks: Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals didn’t seem like much of a challenge for LeBron James and the Cavaliers. Cleveland cruised to an easy 94-82 win over the Hawks in Atlanta, and it wasn’t even as close as that lopsided score indicates.
James posted 30 points, 11 of those coming in a decisive third quarter when the Hawks shot just 7-of-22.
The Cavs got the win even without injured guard Kyrie Irving, who was out due to a left knee issue.
Cleveland is up 2-0 now, and can sweep at home if they win both games. The next one is tomorrow.

Veteran Wizard Kris Humphries didn’t make much of an impact in the playoffs this year, logging just five total minutes in the postseason. Comparatively, he averaged 21 MPG in the regular season.
As a result, Humphries is reportedly going to be working on his 3-point shot this off-season in an effort to expand his game into that of a stretch forward. We’ll see if all that work pays off in 2015-16.
The Rockets got some good news yesterday concerning center Dwight Howard. He was upgraded to probable due to his knee problem, and most likely will be playing tonight in Game 3.
Howard is coming off a nice performance Thursday, posting 19 points and 17 rebounds in 40 minutes of action.
