May 24, 2015
We’re in the middle of this long holiday weekend, and coming up we’ve got another big Eastern Conference Finals game to keep us busy in the NBA. The Cavs are looking to go up 3-0 while the Hawks are trying to get in the series. While we’re waiting, let’s check out some of the notable headlines out there.
Rockets-Warriors: Utilizing a 40-point game from Stephen Curry, the Warriors powered past the Rockets in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals last night and took a 3-0 lead in the series.
The game ended up 115-80, but the result was hardly in doubt as early as the second quarter, when the Warriors built a 26-point lead. In the process, Curry logged seven 3-pointers and now owns the record for most 3s in a playoffs season with 64--and he’s still got plenty of games left to extend it.
The Warriors can go for the sweep tomorrow night in Houston.

Let’s check out some injury updates from Cleveland as we get set for tonight’s Eastern Conference Final matchup.
The Cavaliers’ Kevin Love did a “light workout” yesterday, which was likely some kind of bike session.
That doesn’t really mean anything; Love’s still out for the rest of the postseason in all likelihood. We’re still looking toward next season for him to rejoin the Cavs.
Speaking of the Cavs, Kyrie Irving practiced yesterday. He was wearing a soft sleeve on his injured knee.
Irving is still questionable for tonight’s game, according to the team. His presence will be determined medically, and not by the fact that Cleveland is up 2-0 in the series.
