The Cleveland Cavaliers go for the series sweep tonight against the Atlanta Hawks in Game 4 tonight.

The Cavaliers are now within one win from an NBA Finals berth after sneaking past the Hawks by 114-111 in overtime in Game 3. LeBron James missed his first 10 shots of the game but still managed to dominate the game with 37 points, 18 rebounds and 13 assists while Matthew Dellavedova and JR Smith chipped in with 17 points apiece. Kyrie Irving once again sat out the game and is likely to miss out the remainder of the series in preparation of the Cavs' likely NBA Finals series. Defensively, the Cavs were once again dominant on the boards, winning the rebound battle by 56-42 which was the difference in the end.

As for the Hawks, Paul Millsap bounced back from a scratchy Game 2 performance with 22 points while Al Horford chipped in with 14 points before getting ejected in the first half. However, with Kyle Korver already out for the remainder of the season, the scoring burden fell heavily onto Jeff Teague who poured in 30 points but missed on a chance to win the game when he just rimmed an open three-pointer at the end of regulation. The game went into overtime where the Hawks missed on two more threes including a wide-open shot at the buzzer which would have sent the game into a second overtime period, but that was just the way this series has gone for the Hawks since Game 1.

In ATS trends, the Hawks are 4-1 ATS in their last five games following a loss and 4-1 ATS in their last five road games, while the Cavs are 1-4 ATS in their last five home games and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games following an ATS loss.

Head to head, the Hawks are 8-3 ATS in the last 11 meetings in Cleveland and the over is 12-5 in the last 17 meetings overall.

The Hawks did a great job of fighting to the end in Game 3, because it looked like it was going to be a blowout towards the end of third quarter but they just couldn't get over the hump. Once again, I'm expecting the Hawks to hang tough in a close contest but the Cavs will have the answers come the fourth quarter.
