The Cleveland Cavaliers open the NBA Finals on the road at the Golden State Warriors.
King James will be looking to lead the Cleveland Cavaliers to their first NBA crown in franchise history. Even though this is a team game the Cavs won’t win if LeBron has a bad series and might not if he is great. No Kevin Love and a banged up Kyrie Irving put additional pressure on LBJ but he continues to put up fantastic numbers at over 27 points and ten rebounds while his passing probably gets overlooked but at eight assists opponents are not overlooking him. Irving averaged over 18 points while JR Smith is averaging over 13 points and Tristan Thompson is averaging almost a double, double in points and rebounds but with Irving hurting the Cavaliers will need their outstanding defense to continue to play at a high level against a potent Golden State attack.

The Golden State Warriors will be gunning for their first NBA title in 40 years when they face the Cavaliers. If the regular season is any indication the Warriors have talent galore and plenty of it which is why they led the league in wins. Without a doubt Stephan Curry is the face of the franchise and at over 29 points per game and an MVP to show for his efforts there is good reason. As good as Curry is he is not alone with Klay Thompson approaching 20 points per contest with the ability to score quickly and in bunches. Draymond Green can both score and hit the glass at 14 points and almost eleven rebounds while Harrison Barnes needs eyes on him at all times.
The under is 4-0 in Cavaliers last 4 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600 and the Cavaliers are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 Thursday games while the under is 4-0 in Cavaliers last 4 road games vs. a team with a winning home record. The under is 7-0-1 in Warriors last 8 home games and is 6-0 in Warriors last 6 home games vs. a team with a winning road record while going 4-0-1 in Warriors last 5 when their opponent scores 100 points or more in their previous game. Cavaliers are 1-5 ATS in the last 6 meetings in Golden State and are 3-9 ATS in the last 12 meetings. I think I would take a shot with the points and hope the Cavs defense shows up once again…
