With Game 5 now in the bag in the 2015 NBA Finals, we’ve got a do-or-die scenario coming up for the Cavaliers in Tuesday’s Game 6. While we’re waiting on that one, let’s check out some of the notable scenarios happening around the league.
Warriors-Cavaliers: The Warriors edged out the Cavaliers last night in Game 5 of the NBA Finals in Oakland, posting a 104-91 victory to take a 3-2 advantage in the series.
Stephen Curry was back on his game once again, nailing seven 3-point shots on his way to 37 points on the evening. He also had seven rebounds and four assists on a busy evening that led to him being treated for dehydration after the game.
If Golden State can win tomorrow night or Friday, it’ll be the team’s first title since 1975 and a huge moment in the Bay Area.

If you’re a fan of the Mavericks’ Chandler Parsons, the 2015-16 season should be right up your alley. The team is reportedly planning on utilizing him a whole lot more in the upcoming campaign, and he’ll be a fixture on the offensive end of the floor.
Parsons is coming off a 15.7 PPG average during last year in Dallas, which was his first with the team. The coaching staff believes he’ll be ready to come into his own as a featured player atop the roster next year, right alongside teammate Dirk Nowitzki.
We’ll see if that prediction comes true, and should be able to tell within a few games of the new season.
Bad news for the Sixers’ Joel Embiid. According to reports, he’s been dealt a setback in his recovery from foot surgery and hasn’t healed as planned.
Embiid missed out on all of last year in recovery from his surgery, which was to fix a stress fracture.
The next move for Embiid at this point isn’t yet known, but he could be out of action for quite some time to come--maybe even another season.
