The Cleveland Cavaliers look to stave off elimination when the Golden State Warriors hit the floor at Quicken Loans Arena Tuesday.
The Cleveland Cavaliers are in do or die territory now as they face elimination in game number six following a 104-91 defeat at Golden State on Sunday night. The Cavaliers have relied on their defense to keep things competitive with the Warriors but for the second straight game the GSW have broken the 100 point barrier and the team can’t make shots at 36% for game five. LeBron James tossed in a game high 40 points, grabbed 14 rebounds and handed out eleven assists but was only 15-34 from the floor. Tristian Thompson added 19 points and ten boards while JR Smith and Iman Shumpert tossed in 14 and ten points respectively. What I am seeing is a team that is obviously shorthanded and their star isn’t able to carry them.

The Golden State Warriors have now had their way in back to back 4th quarters and their reward is another win and the NBA championship will be theirs. The Warriors were not able to solve the Cavaliers defense in the first three games of this series but have made most of the plays in games four and five. Stephen Curry has found his shooting touch with a team high 37 points on 13 -23 shooting including a 7-13 mark from long range. Draymond Green was next in line with 16 points and nine rebounds while Andre Iguodala netted 14. Leandro Barbosa added 13 points off the bench with Klay Thompson tossing in 12 as the deeper Warriors are getting offense from multiple sources and sank shots at 48% which will beat Cleveland most of the time.
The under is 5-0 in Warriors last 5 Tuesday games and is 3-0-1 in Warriors last 4 NBA Championship games while Golden State are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 Tuesday games. The over is 3-0-1 in Cavaliers last 4 games following a SU loss of more than 10 points and the under is 3-0-1 in Cavaliers last 4 overall and 3-0-1 in Cavaliers last 4 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600. My personal thoughts are that the Cavs can’t stop Curry and while James is the best player in the game he has become a volume scorer in this series. I’m going with the under once again and I’m hoping Cleveland wins but the Warriors have mojo now…
